Here is just a small sampling of the natural treasures we have helped restore over the years.
Gravel Pit Restoration in Erin, Ontario
Location: 9516 Side Road 27, Erin, Ontario
Description: The project aims to restore a gravel pit into usable land. Several million metres of native aggregate have been taken out of this pit. We are working with the Town of Erin to determine the best use of the land (once restored).
Timeframe: It will take several years (minimum 5 years) to restore this gravel pit.
Cost & Financing: The operating cost of this project approaches $10 million. This project is financed by the Métis People of Canada.
Farm Restoration in Woolwich, Ontario
Location: 1610 Halm Road, West Montrose, Woolwich, Ontario
Description: This 30-acre project aims to restore the area into farm use. We have already returned approximately 8 acres of the area into oat fields.
Timeframe: It will take another 3-4 years to turn this site into a usable farm.
Cost & Financing: It will cost approximately another $1 million to bring this project to completion. This project is financed by the Métis People of Canada.
